I’m Ryne Barber, a Creative Writing/Education major at MCLA (Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts). I love horror movies (see my blog The Moon is a Dead World for reviews of horror movies, television shows, books, etc., plus some other regular movies) and music, reading and writing, blogging, movies, and all sorts of other geeky-ness. This blog, I’m hoping, will be non-fiction observations, rants, raves, music reviews, memories, adventures, fiction stories, and a place to just come and talk.
I have a girlfriend named Sarah Plummer (you can find her here on Facebook!) who will be going to MCLA with me this coming Fall, starting September 3rd.
Other than that, I’m looking to make friends, fans, bandmates (I play the drums) and anything in between.
By the way, here’s a look at my musical interests to see what might be reviewed on here.
Grindcore, noise, drone, metal, death metal, pop, emo, screamo, emo violence, doom, sludge, stoner rock, hardcore, industrial, post rock, instrumental, post hardcore, folk, indie, deathcore, tech metal, math rock, prog rock, punk, ambient, shoegaze, metalcore, avantgarde, jazz, free jazz, alternative, post-punk, musique concrete, black metal, electronica, thrash, new-wave, and a lot more.
Plus, here’s my Facebook and my last.fm page.
